    Composition for skin (2021)

    Perfomance

    In Composition for skin, I have in collaboration with two dancers and two musicians made a performance where the dancers show a choreography and play a musical composition at the same time, by touching each other's skin. The musicians react to the choices the dancers make along the way to create a musical interaction. Every little touch, intimate movement, shock and pull over the skin gives different sounds that together make up a 20-minute piece of music. Both the choreography and the composition are played out in real time, and the composition is developed live in the gallery room using modular synths and effect pedals.

    The work was performed by dancers Trine Lise Moe and Fredrik Petrov, and musicians Sigurd Thomassen and Henrik Waarum.
